Hi, I'm David.

About Me

I'm a web developer in my mid-thirties, living on the shores of beautiful Georgian Bay with my wife and two dogs. I have a passion for music, technology, sports and travel. I am visually impaired and have lived most of my life with low vision. Technology has really helped me overcome my disability by leveling the playing field with assistive devices and apps.

As a web developer my recent workflow has included Vue.js, Laravel and Bulma. I love trying out new open source projects on Github and staying up-to-date with development trends.

I love going to concerts and live sporting events with my wife, we regularly attend Blue Jays and Raptors games in Toronto. I am a casual gamer on all major platforms, and have built several custom gaming computers. I enjoy testing out beta software and watching tech reviews on YouTube.

My Music

Music has always played an important role in my life and I've built up quite a large digital library and record collection over the years. I listen to mostly punk/hardcore in my personal time, but enjoy a little bit of everything.

I've been using Last.fm since way back in 2006 and I love all the detailed listening stats and recommendations it provides. Visit my profile to see what's on my stereo lately.

Discogs is great for managing your physical music collection. I use it to keep track of my record collection and seek out those rare and hard to find albums.

Blog Posts

I recently migrated my blog from Wordpress to Ghost and have really been enjoying it. My blog is a place for me to share music videos, tech reviews, and other interesting and funny videos that I find from around the web.
